The EOL Tester Global AME Technician is responsible to maintain EOL standards and methods, support the plants and work with Advanced Manufacturing Global EOL tester engineering

Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain EOL Tester standards and methods.
  • Develop electrical test machines for additional process steps (example: Thermal test to electronics boards, Reflash station, ICT).
  • Manage EOL and Prototype software development.
  • Create test plans and conduct experiment to verify software and hardware met the requirements.
  • Maintain electrical drawings for common hardware.
  • Contribute to the mechanical design of part interface automation and study tolerance issues that affect product test and calibration.
  • Fixture alignment, part position controls, Part connection issues, POGO pins and mechanical clamping issues.
  • Contribute to the cross functional team to develop specifications.
  • Facilitate EOL Council and Contribute to the Manufacturing council.
  • Provide on-site support and troubleshooting for new EOL installations.
  • Support conducting GR&R measurements on plants EOL.
  • Support creation custom parts for pass/fail investigations.
  • Review/Contribute with RFQ documents and 3 P workshop to strengthen relationships with suppliers and minimize re-design of EOL and manufacturing lines.
  • Provide technical support for each location with EOL:
    • EOL for EGR Valves: Motohawk, NI CRIO, and eMACS along with Seat leakage, External leakage equipment.
    • EOL for High Voltage Coolant Heaters.
  • Contribute to the reduction of scrap and increase throughput of the plants.
Job requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering required; Master’s degree preferred.
  • Experience with multiple programming language:
    • Visual Studio (Visual Basic), C and C++, C# (C Sharp), Python Etc...
    • LabVIEW experience to include: FPGA, cRIO, Advanced architectures, Actor Framework, VI package manager and toolkits.
  • MS Office Suite with advance experience with MS Excel: Macros, Advanced functions, templates
  • Experience with Automotive Protocols: SAE SENT J2716, SAE CAN J1939, SAE LIN J2602
  • Experience with Industrial Protocols: RS232, RS485, GPIB, TCP/IP
  • Experience with PLC programming and setup: Allen Bradley/Rockwell, Siemens, Mitsubishi and Omron.
  • Experience with industrial sensors: Quadrature encoder, Pressure sensors, signal conditioner, motor shunts.
  • Experience with Test equipment: Multi-meters, Oscilloscopes, Data loggers, Programmable power supplies, HiPot, DAQ, Flir Thermal cameras and communication cards. Hands-on skills troubleshooting low and high voltage Electrical cabinets and reviewing Electrical drawings.
  • Comfortable with PC hardware installation, setup and basic troubleshooting.
  • Working Knowledge of Minitab helpful.
  • Good English language skills (spoken and written)
  • Availability to travel approx. 50 % of time.
